I can't seem to get any pictures uploaded, and I'm not sure why, but as soon as I figure it out, I will.

Mom and baby are both doing great. JR is tired but too happy to sleep or do anything but stare at June. June has been awfully quiet for the most part, only crying when she really needs something. She's slept a lot of the day today, and she managed to pass her hearing test with flying colors. We're just enjoying every minute of being with her.

Again, I'll try to update with pictures tonight. Thanks for all the kind thoughts and comments. We love you all and can't wait for you to meet Baby June.

June Olivia Plum

SHE'S HERE!!!  June finally joined us at 8:09 PM.  She's beautiful!  JR only pushed for 35 minutes and did amazing.  She really was incredible; didn't whine, didn't complain, didn't call me any obscene names.  It was awesome.  No weight or length yet; they let JR hold onto her as long as she wants before they do any of that.  But, truly she's gorgeous.  And I don't think either of us realized how in love we would be, right from the beginning.  I'll update with more pictures a bit later, but I'm going to get back to hanging with the newest love of my life.

Pushing

Dr. Cole says she'll start pushing about 7pm or so.  We're getting close...

Well, that was fast...

Holy Cow!  Well, Jamie Rose has gone from 2cm to 9cm in just about 2.5 hours.  This is crazy!  The doctor says she'll start pushing in a couple hours.  Much faster than we expected.  Keep sending the prayers that pushing goes as quickly as labor has.  Can't believe we get to meet June so soon!  Awesome!

We have arrived

So we made it to the hospital after the second doctor's appt of the day. As soon as we left, Jamie Rose's contractions kicked in really strong and really quick. In fact, they were coming every 1 minute, which was pretty miserable for her. But with the right combo of drugs, everything has settled in to progressing nicely. We're still not really far along, but mom and baby are doing great. Luckily, since JR isn't too far along, Grandpa Jim will make it back before any of the real exciting really happens. I'll update as anything happens. Thanks for the prayers!

Today's the Day

At least, that's what Doctor Cole said this morning at our appointment.  He did some "stuff" to get labor started, and Jamie Rose is starting to feel some cramping and movement that she hasn't felt yet.  If labor doesn't really get going this morning, we're going back at 2pm to have him try again.  So, as he said, today is the day.  We'll update as things get started this morning or after the appointment this afternoon.

Due Date, Schmoo Date

Quick update:

We had a Doctor's appointment today and apparently June's not done cookin' yet.  A girl after her mother's heart, she'll be fashionably late (though this is even more frusterating than when Jamie Rose does it).  We're going to hold off on doing anything medically to speed it up until at least after our appointment next Monday, but hopefully it won't get to that point and things will progress quickly this week.  Anyway, that's the update for now.  Keep sending your prayers and good vibes to JR's belly.  Until, well, soon we hope....
